West Indies coach Stuart Law has started preparing his team for India series. According to Law, his team needs to improve its batting skills. He suggested that Windies batsmen need to play with all their potential.

Recently, their batting wasn’t upto the mark against Afghanistan. And, now they are up against a stronger opponent in India. The ODI series between India and West Indies will start from June 23 at the Port of Spain.

“We’ve spoken long and hard,” Law insisted. “The batsmen know they have to start producing. There’s no secret to that. They hold the key against India. Our bowlers have been doing a great job consistently.”

“So now it’s time for the batsmen to put their hands up and be counted,” he added. “We want to score runs against a pretty formidable opponent in India – one of the best teams in the world, if not the best.”

West Indies did not play well in the three-match ODI series against Afghanistan. “To be honest, I just think it’s a matter of believing in their own ability a little bit more – have that self-belief, go out and remain positive.”
