New Zealand are likely to get a Kane Williamson boost in the 3rd Test against India. The Blackcaps played the 2nd Test without their regular skipper, who has a viral infection.

Williamson is hopeful that he will come back into the team for the final Test, starting tomorrow in Indore. His inclusion will help the kiwis in strengthening their batting in the last match of the series.

“I am feeling better now,” Williamson insisted in the pre-match press conference. “Certainly very hopeful of playing tomorrow. I can say I am getting better each day.”

The Blackcaps faced thumping defeats in both Test matches so far in the series. They have already lost the three-match series. Williamson’s men will be aiming to avoid the whitewash in the series.

“We should have put up a better performance although we know it’s a challenge in India. At the same time we need to play our best cricket,” Williamson said.

“If we can put up our best we can get a result in our favour in this part of the world,” he concluded.
