Bowlers have it in their hands really. The fate of a game remains largely in meticulous bowling. It’s a basic tenet of the game and nothing can change that. It’s like a mission to grab those 20 wickets especially in Test cricket.
Such was the epic performance by the Indian Cricket Team against Bangladesh. The Indian captain Virat Kohli whipped up a great show and was rightly adjudged the man of the match.
But, Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja also made the ball glide in the India’s favour. On Day 5, it was certainly a tank turner. The spinners made most of the pitch and kept the Bangladeshi batsmen guessing.

As the match ended, both Ashwin and Jadeja took four wickets apiece. It was essentially a pleasant sight for Kohli, to see the way his pacers complemented the spinners. It augured well before the all-important series against Australia.
After Umesh Yadav took three wickets in the first innings, Ishant Sharma got his act together for the first time in the season and bowled some spectacular reserve-swing deliveries.

He could have finished with more than two wickets in the innings, but it definitely beefed up the confidence levels of spinners in the team. In a nutshell, this surely indicates one thing. This team is ready for kick-ass performances.
The Indian Cricket Team is gearing up be the numero uno Test team. And, they are sweating it out for this.
It may take more than four days to achieve this or could go down the wire to get favourable results, but Kohli and gang have their socks pulled up! Let’s watch out to see them kill it and nail it, setting some old records on fire!
