Virat Kohli Credits Bowlers for Setting India’s Win Over Bangladesh

Bangladesh did manage to stretch the Hyderabad Test to the fifth day, but they eventually lost the game by 208 runs. Bowlers, pacers in particular, played a crucial role in India’s impressive win in the one-off Test.

The Indian captain, Virat Kohli praised his bowlers for an outstanding effort. Interestingly, Indian pacers took seven wickets, which proved vital in the end. Kohli praised his fast-bowlers after sealing the game.

“The bowlers found ways to get batsmen out, that’s been the characteristic of our team,” Kohli said. “We didn’t get overexcited. Ishant’s spell was outstanding, coming with a soft ball, reversing it at pace.”

“If we have two world class spinners in the side,” he added. “You can tell the fast bowlers to come in and attack and the partnership between them and the spinners is great. Umesh was a revelation really.”

With this win, the Indian team stretched its winning run to 19 matches. This is also India’s sixth series win in a row.

“It’s been coming off nicely, last year was something that I didn’t expect to happen,” the Indian captain said. “I just go into each game with a fresh mind, try to be aggressive, but not over-attack.”
