The one-off Test showed that Bangladesh have a lot road to travel to get anywhere close to a team like India. India, meanwhile, continued their super run, and handed an imposing defeat to Bangladesh in Hyderabad.
Virat Kohli’s men defeated Bangladesh by 208 runs to win the one-off Test series. They have added another series to their kitty since defeating New Zealand and England earlier in the season.

“Putting massive runs on the board helps,” Kohli said. “Bangladesh batted well in the first innings, the plan was to get into good habits. We have a big series coming up as well and the bowlers got into their rhythm.”
“The bowlers found ways to get batsmen out, that’s been the characteristic of our team. We didn’t get overexcited.”

Much like the first innings, Bangladesh batsmen got starts, but failed to capitalise on them. The Indians, meanwhile, grabbed every opportunity that they got. They made the ball move – spin, swung, everything.
Soumya Sarkar and Mahmudullah tried their best. The latter also scored a fifty. But on a day when they were required to battle for survival they threw their wickets. Eventually, going down in the contest.
