Rohit Sharma is in form of his life, and played an instrumental role in India’s win over the hosts Bangladesh in the opening match of the Asia Cup.
The Indian opener slammed a counterattacking half-century in Mirpur to ensure that India post an imposing total and kick-start their campaign with a win.
Rohit, after playing a match-winning knock, said he wants to continue his good form, and looking forward for the high-profile clash against Pakistan.
“I don’t want to look back too much on my form. I just want to carry it to every tournament I play,” Rohit said. “I am not harping on what has happened in the past, I want to look forward.”
“We did pretty well in the T20Is against Australia and Sri Lanka, but for me, it is important that I look forward and not think too much about what has happened before.”
“I am a very positive person and someone who looks as to what is coming next,” Rohit concluded. “Pakistan is next and I am looking forward to it.”
