India Pakistan

This is the biggest encounter of the tournament, and probably the greatest sporting event on the planet, India playing Pakistan after the World Cup, which happened almost an year ago

India, without any doubts, are heading into the contest as favorites. Their record in the T20s this year has been very impressive, but playing Pakistan is a different ball game altogether.

Pakistan may have been termed as the most unpredictable team in the world cricket, but playing the archrivals have always brought the best out of them, and this time as well we can expect something similar.

“There is a lot of hype, which is exciting for the people,” Virat Kohli said ahead of the match. “But on the field it’s the same as playing any other team.”

“People from both countries enjoy this encounter and they want their team to win,” he added. “The cricketers are the same, they give their best and enjoy the contest a lot.”

Talking about the playing XI, seeing MS Dhoni’s past record, it is unlikely that India will be making any changes, unless an injury force him to do so.

Apart from Dhoni’s back issue, which still persisting, the India squad is fit. The Indian captain played with an injury in the last game, and it is unlikely he will be missing the marquee clash.

Pakistan don’t have any bowling concerns whatsoever. Their pacers, Anwar Ali, Wahab Riaz, Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Irfan, are fit and excellent with the ball.

India Squad (probable): Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, Yuvraj Singh, Hardik Pandya, MS Dhoni (c & wk), Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Jasprit Bumrah and Ashish Nehra.

Pakistan Squad (probable): Sharjeel Khan, Mohammad Hafeez, Umar Akmal, Shoaib Malik, Imad Wasim, Sarfraz Ahmed (wk), Shahid Afridi (c), Anwar Ali, Wahab Riaz, Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Irfan.

So, get ready for another thrilling clash between India and Pakistan, starting 7:00 pm IST in Mirpur, Bangladesh.
