The Blackcaps had the chance of leveling the series in Kolkata, but a couple of bad sessions changed the complexion of the match. Hesson was quick to point out the moments, which turned the Kolkata Test in India’s favour.

“Losing three wickets on the second evening was big for us in terms of getting a good first innings score. And then with India fighting back well in the second innings,” Hesson pointed out. “It was the key turning point.”
