ICC ODI Ranking: Team India Remains Fourth; South Africa Reclaims Top-Spot

South Africa have regained top-spot in the latest ICC ODI Ranking, while the Indian Cricket Team remained fourth. The Indian team has remained unchanged with 112 rating points.

The Proteas, meanwhile, gained three points to move one point clear of Australia, who have 118 rating points. New Zealand (113) are third, followed by India, England (107), Sri Lanka (98) and Bangladesh (91).

“We are excited to be back at the top of the ICC ODI Rankings,” AB de Villers said. “We have had some trials since the World Cup two years ago but have worked hard to rebuild and to gain some form and consistency in this format.”

“It’s an important year for us with the ICC Champions Trophy in June,” he added. “And, regaining the No.1 position is a step in the right direction for our preparation ahead of the event.”

Pakistan currently have 89 rating points and are at eight position ahead of the West Indies (87). Afghanistan (52) complete the top-10. Meanwhile, Zimbabwe and Ireland are 11th and 12th, respectively.
