That’s always the law of the game and it was no different this time with a super enthusiastic team visiting India. After ball-trotting across nations playing several Test matches, the Bangladeshi cricket team had one unrealised dream
And, now that Mushfiqur Rahim and his men are already in action playing their first Test on the Indian soil, the entire squad seems to be on cloud nine with solid doses of palpable gusto!
In fact, it’s perhaps nostalgic for both the teams. Back then, it was none other than the Indian cricket team with whom the Bangladeshi team played their first Test match in Dhaka in 2000.

And, as luck would have it, the Indian team kept flying to Bangladesh to play the matches. Bangladesh, meanwhile, kept waiting for their turn to return the favour and strike the bat at the opponent’s home country.
Well that chance finally came! But the spirits seem to dampen soon on the field. As it wasn’t a great start for Bangladesh, as they had expected it to be! The first over of the match earned them a wicket.
Though the track had a little juice for the fast bowlers in the early morning, it soon dried up. The Indian batsmen were killing it ensuring that India remained in good position in the match.

The time before lunch kept the excitement brewing with both the Indian batsmen involved in a mix-up running between the wickets eventually surviving the attack!
However taking about heroes from the host team, a fair share of brownie points goes to Bangladesh’s Taskin Ahmed who generated serious pace creating doubts in the minds of the batsmen!
But then skill and experience overpowered all elements of ambiguity. The Indian top-order confronted the situation head on! Virat Kohli did what he does the best. He scored at a decent rate let the Indian team be on a higher ground!
