Bangladesh have a massive task in hand in Hyderabad to avoid the follow-on. At stumps, on Day 2, the visitors lost opener Soumya Sarkar to Umesh Yadav, and trailing the game by 646 runs.
The Tigers are 41/1, with Tamim Iqbal (24 not out) and Mominul Haque (1 not out) in the middle. Earlier, the Indian team declared at 687 for 6 to take the command in the game.
The Indian captain Virat Kohli (204) scored a double century, while Wriddhiman Saha (106 not out) also scored his second Test hundred. Ravindra Jadeja (60 not out) also made handy contribution in India’s total.

Jadeja scored an unbeaten fifty, and scored at a brisk pace to help India declare the innings in the day’s final session.
Earlier, on Day 1, Murali Vijay’s (108) hundred scored a century to put India oncourse of a massive total. He made a 178-run partnership with Cheteshwar Pujara, who scored a fifty for the Indian team.
Meanwhile, Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane (82) stitched a massive 222-run partnership. They drained Bangladesh both mentally and physically.
