As expected, India had the better off South Africa in must-win game. They, quite rightly, entered the last four of the tournament. So what was different in this South Africa match? India were simply superior to the Proteas.

This win also ensures that India would face Bangladesh in the Champions Trophy semifinal. India had beaten Bangladesh by a massive margin in the practice game before the tournament started.

The India bowlers, especially, had very good memories of that practice match. They were able to bowl out Bangladesh very cheaply. India would be hoping to do the same in the all-important game.

Both Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah would be hoping to repeat their South African match performances.
