The ICC has confirmed Imrul Kayes as a replacement player for Anamul Haque in Bangladesh’s squad for the World Cup. Anamul suffered a shoulder injury during his side’s six wickets victory over Scotland in Nelson on Thursday and has been ruled out.

The 28-year-old Imrul has played 53 ODIs in which he has scored 1,390 runs at just under 27 with one century and 10 half-centuries. His last ODI for Bangladesh was against Zimbabwe in November 2014.
