MS Dhoni has reached another milestone, as he played his 150th IPL game yesterday against Mumbai Indians. Now only three players – Dhoni, Suresh Raina and Rohit Sharma – have the distinction of playing 150 matches in the IPL.
Interestingly, Rohit also reached the 150 mark in the same game as Dhoni. They both played the record-setting match, which the Supergiants won by a narrow three runs margin, at the Wankhede Stadium.
Dhoni boast-off staggering numbers in the IPL. He has scored 3400 runs in 150 matches at an average of almost 39. His strike rate almost 138, and he has cleared the ropes 145 times in the T20 league.
The destructive right-hander captained the Chennai Super Kings for the first eight seasons. He was picked by the Supergiants in the players’ draft, last year. Since then he is playing for the Pune-based franchisee.
