MS Dhoni has retired from Test cricket, but he still has it in him to play the longest version of the game. According to his former teammate, Mohammad Kaif, Dhoni can still represent India in all three versions of the game.

Dhoni, Jharkhand’s captain, has recently scored a century in the Vijay Hazare Trophy against Chhattisgarh. He led his side to a convincing win from nowhere, and played a captain’s knock in crunch situation.

“He has natural abilities which you saw today,” Kaif said. “I believe he is still good enough for all formats of the game. He is still hitting the ball hard. We would have bundled them for 120 if Dhoni was not there.”

Dhoni also played a crucial innings in the opening match against Karnataka. He, however, had failed to take his team over the line. Jharkhand lost the match by a narrow five-run margin at the Eden Gardens.
