MS Dhoni carried his international form to domestic cricket, and cracked a scorching hundred for Jharkhand. Dhoni helped his side in reaching to a competitive total in the Vijay Hazare Trophy against Chhattisgarh.
When Dhoni arrived at the crease Jharkhand was reeling at 43/5. He then rescued his side from turbulent waters to a respectable score of 243/9. Dhoni also added 151 runs with Shahbaz Nadeem for the seventh wicket.

Captain Dhoni anchored Jharkhand’s innings and made a 107-ball 129, featuring 10 fours and six maximums. It was Dhoni of old on display at the Eden Gardens, as he brought his century in an impressive fashion with a six.
India’s most successful captain has nothing left to prove in his career, yet his approach towards domestic cricket has surprised everyone. He has opted to play and captain Jharkhand in domestic cricket to remain match fit.

Earlier, in the first match of the Vijay Hazare Trophy, Dhoni had made 43 in the losing cause. He had to play anchor’s role after Karnataka reduced Jharkhand to 79/4 in front of 1000 spectators present at the Eden Gardens.
Jharkhand, however, failed to chase Karnataka’s 266 and lost the contest by just 5 runs. Dhoni was slow off the blocks. But, once he got going, he entertained the crowd with two towering sixes.
