Feroz Shah Kotla

Delhi’s own Feroz Shah Kotla is expected to be a full house affair when New Zealand take on England in the first World T20 semifinal today.

Despite India not playing a single game in the city, the fans are in good spirits and looking forward to a great game of cricket.

On the eve of the match, on Tuesday, it was rather encouraging to see the way some of the “cricket enthusiasts” arrived just outside the Kotla premises, and asking “where they could buy tickets for the semifinal game”.

Those, who couldn’t find a solution to their problem, their faced suddenly took on a morose expression before leaving the area.

Delhi really loves its cricket, isn’t it? The city may also love with 20 other things, but watching a live cricket match is a different experience and who wants to miss that!

The expats are going to throng the stands too. The Delhi and District Cricket Association officials are flooded with requests for passes that some of them can’t even accommodate their own kith and kin. It seems likely that Kotla could be a full-house today!
