The Test series schedule has been revised, which has given Team India a golden opportunity to get back into the grove, with a two-day practice match against Cricket Australia XI at Gliderol Stadium, starting November 4.
Where to Watch Practice Match Live Scores
The practice match between Cricket Australia XI vs India is scheduled for a 5:30 am IST (10:30 local and 00:00 GMT) start at Gliderol Stadium. The live score updates of the match will be available HERE, HERE. See the live streaming of the match HERE.
The opening Test will now be played in Adelaide, instead of Brisbane owing to an untimely demise of batsman Phil Hughes. Most of the Australian players attended Hughes’ funeral at his hometown, making it logistical impossible to go ahead with the planned schedule.
Cricket Australia (CA) has announced that the opening Test will be playing from November 9, providing a window to organise a practice match. The first warm-up fixture between these two sides ended in a draw, while the second was suspended.
Team India will have a chance of testing the final playing XI before the Adelaide Test, without regular skipper MS Dhoni. Dhoni is nursing a thumb injury and he is unavailable to play the practice game, but is likely to feature in the first Test.
Dhoni will join the Indian team ahead of the first Test but there are clouds over his participation in the series opener. If Dhoni recovered for the opening match then Kohli, who will lead the team in practice match will have to wait to lead India in whites.
