VIDEO: Maxwell delivers BEST FINAL OVER in ODIs

The Australians are known for their never-say-never spirit on the field, no matter how many runs required or how less they are defending, every time they give their best.

This is exactly what happed in the third one-dayer in Abu Dhabi when Glenn Maxwell helped Australia register a one-run win over Pakistan to stun the green brigade.

Maxwell is known for his big-hitting capabilities rather than off-spin but the Aussie managed to deliver a double-wicket maiden to start a wild celebration at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium.

Pakistan, already down 2-0 in the three match series, were searching for a consolation win in the final ODI and needed just two runs in the final over, with two wickets in hand.

Australian skipper George Bailey gave ball to Maxwell, who had taken mere 17 wickets in first 31 one-dayers, and he repaid the faith of his captain.

The first ball was dot and in the second he castled Sohail Tanvir, Maxwell managed to outfox Mohammad Irfan in next three balls and then dismissed him on the final ball of the match to cleansweep the series.

“Wasn’t going too well until the last over,” Maxwell said. “Got a bit of luck at the end and it was a good win at the end. He (Bailey) was just saying don’t get hit for runs.”
