After thumping defeats in the Test series against Australia, followed by one-day tri-series, Team India has come out all guns blazing in the World Cup. India have won six back-to-back games to qualify for the quarterfinals, beating teams like South Africa, Pakistan and West Indies.

It’s an incredible turnaround for a team, which was struggling to get in terms with the pace and bounce of the Aussie conditions. But how this turnaround  happened? Here are the reasons of Team India’s success in the World Cup.

1.) Mohammed Shami: Mohammed Shami has clearly led the way for India. He made the batsmen hop, duck and dance to his tunes with an outstanding spell of fast bowling in all matches so far.

2.) Mohit Sharma: Mohit was the last minute replacement for injured Ishant Sharma, but the Haryana pacer repaid the confidence of skipper MS Dhoni and team management with consistent performances in the World Cup.

3.) Ravichandran Ashwin: Ravichandran Ashwin has found his mojo back at a very right time, and he is also supported by Ravindra Jadeja. Both Ashwin and Jadeja have supported the pacers quite well in the World Cup.

4.) Hitting Right Areas: The India bowlers haven’t leaked many runs in the World Cup so far and are quite economical. None of the Indian bowlers have an economy rate of over 6.00.

5.)  Complete Domination: Indian bowlers have dominated the opposition and in all six games against Pakistan, South Africa, UAE, West Indies, Ireland and Zimbabwe. India have managed to take 60 wickets so far in the tournament.

Indian bowlers, pacers in particular, have played a huge in India’s victories in the World Cup so far and they deserve a pat on the back for this effort.
