MS Dhoni has always backed the youngsters in his squad. The trend continued even in the recently concluded one-day series against New Zealand. He gave youngsters the opportunity over their much experienced counterparts.
Jasprit Bumrah is one such player, who has made a meteoric rise under Dhoni. The unorthodox pacer has become India’s go-to bowler in the death overs. And, he has also repaid everyone’s faith in him.
“He (Dhoni) has been such an experienced captain,” Bumrah said. “Has played India for a long time. He helps us.”

“Tells us what do exactly on what kind of wickets,” the pacer added. “He gives us a picture of what to expect and that helps us to express ourselves. You can then try new stuff knowing that captain has confidence in you.”
Team India is gearing up for a five-match Test series against England. The tour also features three one-dayers and as many T20s. Bumrah is not in the Indian Test team, but he will be back for the limited-overs series.
