Indian Cricket Team For T20 Series Against West Indies in the USA

The Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) has announced a 14-member India squad for the upcoming T20 Series against West Indies. MS Dhoni will be leading the squad for two T20s on August 27 and 28 in the USA.

Dhoni, alongwith Jasprit Bumrah, will join the Indian team in the United States. The remaining players will travel straight from the Caribbean to the States. Central Broward Regional Park of Florida will host the series.

The selectors have overlooked Harbhajan Singh, Yuvraj Singh, Hardik Pandya and Manish Pandey for the series. Opener KL Rahul, allrounder Stuart Binny and pacer Mohammed Shami are retained in the team.

Dhoni is currently on a break from international cricket, as he has takes retirement from Test matches. He hasn’t traveled with the Indian Cricket Team to the Caribbean Islands.

This is the first time that the Indian Cricket Team is playing a bilateral series in the USA. The BCCI is organising the T20s to increase its footprints in the United States.

India Squad for West Indies T20 Series: MS Dhoni (c & wk), Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umesh Yadav, Amit Mishra and Stuart Binny.
