New Zealand have announced their Test squad for the upcoming three-match Test series against India. The 15-member squad does not feature pacer Matt Henry, allrounder Corey Anderson and batsman Jeet Raval.

Anderson was not considered for the series, as he is nursing a back injury. Meanwhile, the Blackcaps have added Jimmy Neesham into the squad. He was out of the Blackcaps team because of a back pain since last summer.

There is no major change into the Kane Williamson-led squad, which toured South Africa recently. However, playing India is a different ball game altogether for the Kiwis, who are yet to win a Test series in India.

“India’s the No.2 ranked side in the world, and their record at home is formidable. We’re yet to win a Test series over there and that’s motivating for everyone. We’ve got three Tests to try create a special piece of history,” New Zealand selector Gavin Larsen said.

The first Test match will take place in Kanpur on September 22, followed by games in Kolkata (September 30) and Indore (October 8).
