Since his return to the Indian team, Ashish Nehra has become a vital cog in the bowling department. Nehra, alongwith Jasprit Bumrah, has shouldered the death bowling duties pretty well in the last few series.
Nehra said the team management has shown faith in him and guide young pacers in the team. He added that despite having in-form bowling unit, it is important for others to contribute.
“The team management has asked me to guide this bowling group. Then again, it’s only four overs in T20 cricket, so everyone has to contribute.”
“Everybody can have a bad day, when I have (one), others need to chip in,” Nehra said during India’s departure to Bangladesh for the Asia Cup.
