By restricting India for 330 runs in their first innings, England have placed themselves in a comfortable situation in this Test from where they can look for a win. They are leading by 319 runs and with 8 wickets in hand they should aim to give India a lead of at least 380-390 runs before tea so that they have good four sessions to get India all out.
After a batting collapse in the first innings, Team India would hope that their bowlers take early wickets in the next session to put some kind of pressure on the home team. However, the onus would remain on the Indian batsmen who’ll have the responsibility to save this test.
