Medium pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar is finally in the thick of things. Kumar missed out playing consistently for India in the last two months because of a heel injury. Match against UAE saw him back in action. He bowled at a decent pace and the ball moved beautifully, like it does when Kumar is on top of his game.
It must have been very frustrating for Kumar to miss out on playing for India, especially at the beginning of the World Cup. In those weeks, he went through a lot. He witnessed all the action from the sidelines, and the fitness test ahead of the tournament must have given him some nervous moments given the fact that there were apprehensions that injury would rule him out of the contest for the coveted cup.
Kumar comes in in place of Mohammed Shami in the UAE match. Fans are looking forward to some match winning performances from Kumar and hopefully the most testing phase of the playing season are behind him.
