BCCI Awards: Bhuvneshwar Kumar named India’s best international cricketer

The eighth annual BCCI Awards Ceremony, to recognize and reward India’s top cricketing performers in the 2013-14 season, will be held on 21 November 2014.

Dilip Vengsarkar, former India Captain, will be the recipient of the Col. C.K. Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award. He was nominated for the award by a committee comprising of Mr. Shekhar Gupta, Senior Media personality, Mr. Shivlal Yadav, Interim President, BCCI and Mr. Sanjay Patel, Hony. Secretary, BCCI.

The Col. C.K. Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award comprises a citation, trophy and cheque for Rs. 25 Lakhs (the list of previous winners is attached).

Bhuvneshwar Kumar is the winner of the annual Polly Umrigar Award, for being India’s best international cricketer of the 2013-14 season. The award comprises a trophy and a cheque for Rs. 5 lakhs.

The BCCI Awards Ceremony has been organized prior to the Indian cricket team’s departure to Australia for a Test series.
