Anil Kumble on MS Dhoni: He Does Not Need Time to Settle Down

The Indian team coach Anil Kumble has insisted that captain MS Dhoni does not need time to settle down. Kumble said that the Indian skipper has enough experience to bat anywhere in the line-up.

There is a a debate going on about Dhoni’s batting position. The Indian coach said that the batting order will depend upon the conditions and situation of the game. In the last ODI, Dhoni played at number 5 against New Zealand.

“It all depends on match situations,” Kumble said. “While chasing you need more experience. As far as MS is concerned, he has enough experience. He has shown over the years that he has enough capabilities as a batsman.”

“We don’t need to really look close at giving him time to settle in,” he added. “You will probably see a different batting order depending on different situations.”

Dhoni has played in almost every position for the Indian team. His order is crucial for the Indian team, seeing the Indian team is to defend its Champions Trophy title in England next year.

The Indian captain has dawned the finisher’s role pretty well for the men in blue. He is arguably the best in the business at the moment, and showed his batting prowess once again in the last match in Dharamsala.
