West Indies team has got a big boost ahead of facing Australia and South Africa in a tri-series with the inclusion of Sunil Narine and Kieron Pollard. The tri-series is slated to take place next month.

Narine, who is currently playing in the Indian Premier League, is making a comeback into the team after rectifying his bowling action. He hasn’t played for the West Indies since November last year.

Meanwhile, Pollard is in line for playing his first one-dayer since October 2014, after being named in the 14-member squad that will play first four matches of the series.

Pollard hasn’t played since November last year for the Windies, as he was nursing injuries all this while. He also missed recently concluded World T20.

The inclusion of both Narine and Pollard is certain to strengthen Jason Holder’s West Indies, as they are in fine form for their respective IPL teams.

However, star players like Chris Gayle, Dwayne Bravo, Andre Russell and T20 captain Darren Sammy are not included in the team because of their ongoing dispute with the Windies Cricket Board.

West Indies Squad: Jason Holder (c), Sulieman Benn, Carlos Brathwaite, Darren Bravo, Jonathan Carter, Johnson Charles, Andre Fletcher, Shannon Gabriel, Sunil Narine, Ashley Nurse, Kieron Pollard, Denesh Ramdin, Marlon Samuels and Jerome Taylor.
