In the last match, India’s top-order got a good practice. KL Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan scored fifties, while Cheteshwar Pujara spent decent time in the middle. Murali Vijay didn’t feature in the match, so it will be a good opportunity for him to dust off the rustiness and get into the groove.

Ajinkya Rahane and skipper Virat Kohli got out cheaply in the first warm-up fixture. They will be aiming to make this opportunity count before the series, starting July 21 in Antigua. Wriddhiman Saha, who is under pressure from Rahul, would also be aiming to prove himself with the bat.

Ravindra Jadeja, Stuart Binny and Shardul Thakur didn’t play the first match. This will be a good opportunity for them to put themselves in contention for the series, especially Binny and Thakur.
