Taking a step ahead to boost the bonding of the team, India’s head coach Anil Kumble has introduced a system of fining those cricketers who come late for the team bus.

The fine amount won’t exceed 50 dollars and the money collect would be used for a team party at end of the West Indies tour, BCCI sources told Drcricket7. This, according to BCCI, is a sort of fun exercise and not to be seen as a punishment to bring in more accountability.

“It’s not new to the system. During the John Wrights days, the last person getting into the team bus had to go for four rounds of the stadium. There was also a system of getting a chance to bat and bowl right at the end of the nets if you got late,” a source explained.

Sources further added the team management is taking several other initiative to ensure a good spirit in the dressing room. “Kumble is respected in the team for his cricketing achievements and this is a good way to start the team bonding,” the source added.
