India have announced the same squad, which played against Bangladesh, for the first two Tests against Australia. The 16-member squad features four spinners and four pacers, including allrounder Hardik Pandya.
Mohammad Shami, Rohit Sharma and Amit Mishra are not the squad. They supposedly haven’t recovered from their respective injuries. Shami’s unavailability will be India’s biggest concern heading into the Test series.

The Indian team is currently on a 19-match unbeaten streak in Test cricket. This is also the fifth longest undefeated run in Test match history. The West Indies went 27 matches unbeaten.
India’s record at home is even more impressive. They are on a 20-match (17 wins, three draws) unbeaten run at home. The Indians are likely to extend their unbeaten run against Australians in the upcoming series.
