The Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) has announced India under-19 squad for the forthcoming Sri Lanka tri-series, starting December 2, with England being the third team.

Virat Singh of Jharkhand and Himanshu Rana of Haryana have managed to make the cut in the 18-member squad. And they both are promising talents coming out of the India domestic circuit.

Virat recently helped India under-19 squad in beating Bangladesh in the tri-series final in Kolkata, while Himanshu has been in fine form for Haryana in the Ranji Trophy.

The India under-19 squad, which is preparing for next year’s Under-19 World Cup to be played in Bangladesh, will be captained by Ricky Bhui, while Sarfaraz Khan will be his deputy.

India under-19 squad: Ricky Bhui (c), Rishabh Pant, Yogesh Sharma, Kanishk Seth, Amandeep Khare, Mayank Dagar, Avesh Khan, Ishan Kishan, Virat Singh, Rahul Batham, Anmolpreet Singh, Mahipal Lomror, Syed Khaleel Ahmed, Washington Sundar, Sarfaraz Khan, Zeeshan Ansari, Shubham Mavi and Himanshu Rana.
