Team India pacer hit the ground running in the opening day of the first practice match against Cricket Australia Invitational XI at Gliderol Stadium by bundling the home team for a paltry total.
Despite not having Ishant Sharma for the first two-day game, Indian pacers impressed one and all by taking seven of the 10 wickets on a windy afternoon in Adelaide.

Speedster Varun Aaron, who is making a comeback from an injury niggle, was the standout performer and used the quick and bouncy deck to his goods by taking three wickets.
Aaron was equally supported by Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who drew first blood in the morning, and Mohammed Shami. They finished with two wickets each and never allowed the visitors to counterattack.
With pacers grabbing the headlines, leg-spinner Karn Sharma and off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin also bowled well within the limitations. Karn, in particular, wrapped up the tail and also broke the final wicket partnership.
India were not all smiles on the opening day, as they lost opener Shikhar Dhawan in final few overs before the close of day’s play. Cheteshwar Pujara and Murali Vijay, however, made sure that the touring party receive no further jolts.
