Sachin Tendulkar took no match lightly during his playing days and his enormous commitment towards the game remained same even after the batting legend called it a day.

The former Indian skipper has revealed that he practiced for two months, before taking the field in an exhibition game for Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC).

Tendulkar opened the batting for the MCC in the game against the Rest of the World XI and scored a 45-ball 44. The batting maestro looked in great touch against the likes of Peter Siddle, Tino Best and Muttiah Muralitharan and spent 67 minutes on the crease.

“To prepare for that match, I will need atleast two months of practice,” Tendulkar revealed. “I need to find out where the centre of my bat is.”

Talking about the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Mumbai Indians, Tendulkar said that the defending Champions League winners need to bat responsibly, despite having the likes of Rohit Sharma, Mike Hussey, Kieron Pollard and Corey Anderson.

“Our batters need to score runs as it will give confidence to the dug-out,” said the maestro, who was the part of Mumbai Indians team that won the IPL title and Champions League crown as well.

Tendulkar said he is enjoying his time out of cricket and spending more time with family and friends. He added that in the absence of hectic travel schedule he is spending time playing badminton and golf.
