India team management isn’t losing its sleep over the lack of depth in the batting department. Instead, MS Dhoni and his men want to overcome it in South Africa series before the World T20 to be held at home for the first time.

According to a very prominent member of Team India, the South Africa series at home will help India to strengthen the lagging area.

India’s consistent form in shorter version of the game is attributed to some quality batting at the top, disciplined fast bowling and sharp fielding standards.

The only thing that has let the team down in the recent past is the lower-order batting. “India will certainly need bowlers who can bat,” the source told Drcricket7 on Saturday.

It was also revealed that the team is banking on Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Stuart Binny – to fit into the role of an allrounder – and the series against South Africa will be good test for them to prove their mettle.

“The players are aware of this drawback and so the top-order may have to take some extra responsibility to keep the team in good stead,” the source said.

In the preparatory camp, which is scheduled to be held from September 21 to 27, the team will also focus on improving the batting skills of the bowlers. “If there are more all-rounders, it will only help the team,” the source added.
