After successfully organising the inaugural Cricket for Heroes charity match in London, the Help for Heroes Foundation, alongwith MS Dhoni Charitable Foundation would organise a series of matches now in India.

The MS Dhoni Charitable Foundation has partnered with The Help for Heroes foundation to replicate a series of similar charity matches in India over the coming years in order to raise more funds towards the support of the Indian Army soldiers.

Recently, the match held at the Kia Oval managed to raise 300,000 pounds, of which 20,000 pounds would go to the Indian Army through MS Dhoni Charitable Foundation.

The match in London also witnessed a packed crowd, with star players like Mathew Hayden, Damien Martyn and MS Dhoni. Dhoni was named the man of the match for his match-winning innings.

“The match was an excellent platform to support such a worthy cause,” MS Dhoni said on his return to India. “I feel honored to have been a part of it and look forward to supporting many more like these in the near future.

“The match also served as a good practice for the upcoming ODI series with South Africa.”
