The Indian Cricket Team has slipped to fourth in the ICC ODI rankings, while also losing top-spot in the T20s, according to the newly released rankings.

Australia are at the top in the ODI rankings, followed by New Zealand and South Africa, while India are fourth, after losing one place.

The Indian team has 109 rating points four less than the third-placed South Africa. Sri Lanka, England and Bangladesh are fifth, sixth and seventh, respectively, while West Indies are eighth.

Pakistan have dropped one place and are ninth in the recent ICC ODI rankings, with 87 rating points. Afghanistan complete the top-ten places.

Meanwhile, India have lost one place in the T20 rankings, and are now second behind New Zealand. World Champions West Indies are third.

South Africa, with 119 rating points, have gained one place to move fourth ahead of World T20 finalist England, and Australia.

Teams that are placed in the middle of the points’ table are now required to win as many matches as possible in the upcoming season to gain places.

The rankings will play a significant role in the direct qualification for the World Cup 2019, which is slated to take place from May 30 to July 15.
