The Indian Cricket Team is targeting a whitewash over the West Indies in the ongoing Test series. Virat Kohli’s men have started the series on a right note. They handed a thumping defeat to the Windies in the 1st Test.
Team India is just six points adrift of the top-ranked Australian team at the moment. A cleansweep over the Windies will help them in challenging the Aussies for the top-spot.
“The first aim is to win the series and obviously we would like to win all the Tests here,” Cheteshwar Pujara said. “But we are taking it one match at a time and we will be focusing on winning this one.”
“We have a positive environment and all the guys are charged up for this match,” he added. “Going ahead we want to be the No. 1 Test team in the world too.”
The Indian Cricket Team is now gearing up for the 2nd Test in Jamaica. Pujara said that the team is not worried about the conditions, and aiming for another win over the hosts.
“Overall as a team, we have been playing good cricket and that is what we will look to do,” Pujara said. “We won’t worry too much about the wicket. I think if we play to our potential there is a good chance of winning the series.”
