The West Indies have named Barbados opener Shai Hope in their squad for the 3rd Test. Opener Rajendra Chandrika has been axed from the team, following his struggle with the bat in the series so far.
No further changes have been made by the Windies team in its 14-member squad for the 3rd Test.
“With the bat, I think it is important we fight a little bit more at the beginning of our innings,” Holder stressed. “Once we do that we can show that we can apply ourselves and make runs.”
The 3rd Test is starting August 9 at the Darren Sammy National Cricket Stadium, Gros Islet.
“It’s all about improvement for us,” Holder said after the 2nd Test. “It’s a young side and I don’t expect leaps and bounds from this group so soon. But it is just important that we continue to improve.”
