Shikhar Dhawan

The biggest worry for the Indian team right now is the fitness of opener Shikhar Dhawan, who missed India’s last game against the archrivals Pakistan.

Dhawan is currently nursing an ankle injury, and despite taking part in team’s practice session yesterday, there are doubts overs his fitness.

The Indian opener looked rusty in the training session, but he is likely to play the Sri Lanka game, seeing Rohit Sharma’s toe injury.

Rohit sustained the injury against Pakistan. The India team management is unlikely to risk him against Sri Lanka as it may increase the soreness.

Meanwhile, captain MS Dhoni, who is having a niggle in the back, was seen practicing. He also took part in team’s net session and most likely to play today.

Apart from these three, there are no injury issues for team India. And, seeing the current form the team is in, they are heading as favorites against the Lankan Lions.
