The stage is set for the biggest encounter of the Asia Cup. It’s between the two most popular cricket nations of the world – India and Pakistan.
It’s a sort of battle which has the maximum fan following, not only across the sub-continent, but also outside Asia. India are the favourites to dominate the game, like they did against Bangladesh.
With already two points in the pocket, India will be looking to enhance their position in the league table by winning this game against the archrivals.
It’s easier said than done, but India are in terrific form and there is absolutely no room for the team to feel worry about anything, right from the batting, bowling to fielding.
India are always looking to stay ahead of their opposition. There were moments in last seven T20 matches that India had played so far this year, where a few minor hiccups happened. But they couldn’t jolt the team.
Barring the T20 match against Sri Lanka in Pune, where India’s form has been spotless. They bat, they bowl and they move around in the field with so much confidence that even the defending World T20 champions Sri Lanka are often clueless to tackle MS Dhoni and his men.
Like it happens in every field, the law of average may catch up with the India team once in a while, but the core competence level of the India side can’t be undermined with one or two losses
Pakistan too have their fair share of experience and in their line-up. Their T20 captain Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Sami, Mohammad Hafeez, Umar Akmal, Wahab Riaz, Mohammad Irfan and Mohammad Amir are few of the known names on whom Pakistan can bank at the world stage.
Last but not least, it would be interesting to see how these bunch of Pakistani cricketer counter the supremely motivated Indian team.
