Ben Stokes once again showed why he is a vital cog in this England team. The allrounder smashed a telling fifty, second fastest by an Englishman against India. He took England to a massive total against India in the 1st ODI.
England posted a massive 351-run target for the Indian team, after been asked to bat first by Virat Kohli. Apart from Stokes, Jason Roy and Joe Root also scored half-centuries, and stitched crucial partnerships.

England still has a massive task of defending the total against the strong Indian batting line-up. The dew could also play a big factor in the match. Also, the Indian team has a knack of chasing down big totals at home.
