The World Cup 2015 is barely a month away and all eyes are on the marquee clash between the archrivals India and Pakistan at the Adelaide Oval on February 15. According to reports, the match is expected to be witnessed by more than a billion viewers – most in the history of the World Cup.

When the sub-continent rivals last clashed in Mohali, four years ago in the World Cup 2011, the match was seen by a whopping 988 million viewers. These numbers will be surpassed easily this time around in the mega event, starting February 14.

“It will be unlike any cricket match ever seen in Australia,” a World Cup official has told The Australian. Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led Team India is heading as clear favourites in the game as they have not lost to India in the World Cups.

India first faced Pakistan in 1992 World Cup and the latter has never won in any of the five attempts so far against the two-time champions. The World Cup opener will be played in Christchurch between New Zealand and Sri Lanka on February 14.
