Hard for India to make a comeback in this Test – Chetan Sharma on Day 1, Old Trafford Test

4 wickets for 8 runs in six overs is something that you would not expect out of a world class team like India and also considering that they are rated as one of the strongest Test sides in the world. The Old Trafford Test match, has once again exposed Team India’s weakness to play in overseas conditions especially where the ball is doing a bit, as the England bowlers once again completely ruined Indian team’s chances to win this Test on the first day itself.

Team India’s major disappointment in this series has been the failure of top and middle order at crucial juncture of the games which have proved very costly to them.
Six ducks from a strong Indian batting line-up is not something you expect in your wildest of dreams and the performance of Indian batsmen on the first day is something which is only going to baffle the fans back home.

Credit has to be given to England fast bowlers, Stuart Broad and James Anderson, who have left no stone unturned in getting their team on top of the game. They both have used the new ball to great effect in this series so far and have also bowled with an exceptional length to the Indian batsmen, which is very crucial in these conditions.

The home team has already made a strong comeback in this series and I won’t be surprised if this match doesn’t last for five days and one see a result by fourth day of the test itself.
