Faf du Plessis Pleased to have Quinton de Kock, Hashim Amla in the Ranks

South Africa might have lost the T20 series against Australia, after taking an early initiative, but the Proteas are taking plenty of positives out of these three matches.

The Proteas skipper Faf du Plessis has pointed out the form of Quinton de Kock and Hashim Amla, who are hitting the peak right on time, ahead of the World T20.

Faf du Plessis said he wants both de Kock and Amla to feature in the playing XI, seeing the kind of form they are in, and even open to the idea of filling the middle-order void by them.

“If the form allows it (both De Kock and Amla in the same team), yes,” du Plessis said. “Obviously Hashim is in form, so you have to look at that. Quinny is playing well.”

“like I said before, if you find in your middle-order that there’s less form, then I suppose you’ve got to make a plan to fill that gap in the middle-order,” he added.

South Africa now will be heading to India for the World T20. They will be starting their campaign against England in Mumbai on March 18.

Prior to the main matches, the Proteas will be warming-up against India on March 12, and then against a local team on the 15th.
