Virat Kohli may have struggled to replicate his Test form in the One-dayers on Australian soil, but the Delhi batsman is certain he will ‘come good’ during the World Cup, which gets underway from Saturday.

A source close to Virat revealed to Dr Cricket that his recent bad phase is something that hasn’t got to him. “These things happen in cricket. He knows that he is middling the ball well, has runs on Australian tracks, and so there is no reason to worry,” the source explained.

“Such failures have come in the past as well and Virat has always bounced back. It’s just a matter of one match and Pakistan’s could be that game,” the source added. Kohli is also of the opinion that India would need just one game to turn the tide in their favour.

Obviously the Indian squad would love for the contest with Pakistan to be the game-changer. “India are quite buoyed that their records against Pakistan in the World Cup matches are in order,” the source said.
