MS Dhoni orchestrated a perfect innings to help India seal the T20 series. He, meanwhile, also made his maiden T20I fifty, and showed how dangerous he is up the order. Dhoni batted at number 4 in Bengaluru.
The Indian captain, Virat Kohli termed Dhoni a big match player. He said that MSD stepped up at crunch situation in the series decider. Kohli praised Dhoni for helping the team in winning the series.

“I wanted to send (Dhoni) up the order,” Kohli said in the post-match presentation. “He’s the one who says he’ll come in later, that will give the team better balance.”
“Come the big game, even in the one-day series, series decider, he stepped up, and he stepped up again today.”

India went on to win the T20 series, after losing the opening game. They then won a nail-bitter in Nagpur, and then handed a thumping to England in Bengaluru. The hosts won all three series, Test, ODI and T20, against England.
“It’s a memorable series win for us, the whole tour,” Kohli insisted. “It’s been a brilliant couple of months for the Indian team, going forward we know exactly what to do in each format.”
