Team India Set For Stern Bouncy Test at WACA in 1st ODI

Be it anywhere, Indian teams have found negotiating the bounce pretty tough. Team India will be up again the similar task when they face Australia in the 1st ODI in Perth.

The WACA is one such place where the ball bounces a touch more than usual compared any other track, and it is going to be a stern test for the Indian team there.

Playing at WACA will certainly test the young Indian team, which spent a considerable amount of time playing at home last year.

Team India’s weakness was exposed in the practice match, when a second-string Western Australia XI bundled them inside 50-overs.

Australia opener Aaron Finch said WACA might have slowed down a little compared to previous years, but he is still expecting extra bounce to tease the Indians .

“The Perth wicket probably has changed a little bit over the last few years,” Finch said . “I don’t think there has been the same amount of carry as there used to be.”

“There is still a bit of extra bounce and that’s something they’ll have to adjust to and we can try and exploit that straight away in the very first game of the series.”
