Michael Clarke could play in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League.

The 5th Test of the recently concluded Ashes series was the last game for Michael Clarke in the Australia colours, but it wasn’t surely the final time he had taken the field.

Michael Clarke will continue to play in Australia’s Big Bash League for the Melbourne Stars, as he has a two-year contract with the franchisee, which will last till 2016.

Meanwhile, the former Australia skipper is also pondering options of playing in the Indian Premier League. Michael Clarke has played once in the IPL for now scraped Pune Warriors India.

After playing just one season, Clarke decided to distance himself from one of the best T20 leagues in the world to concentrate on his international career.

But, with no international commitments, now Michael Clarke is not ruling out the possibility of having another stint in the Indian Premier League, having turned down a number of offers earlier.

“That’s probably one of the things I’ve got to think about over the next week or so,” Michael Clarke said. “What I’m going to do there am I going to look at that as an option?”

“I’ll spend the next few days trying to sum that up. See where my mind is at, see where my body is at and have a good think about it. (Wife) Kyly and I are going to go away for a week or so before I fly back home.”

“And that’s just going to give me some time to have a think about what I’m going to do when I get home. I haven’t had a chance to press stop and have a think about things.”

“Now I’ve finally got that opportunity I just want to make the most of that and spend some time with her and have a really good think.”
